Welcome, my name is Kelly. Together with my daughter, Kashmir we own and operate Peanut Gallery Yorkies! We are small in home, hobby breeders - Producing only one or two litters per year of AKC Yorkshire Terriers and all of our furry critters lives with us inside our home as members of our family. The Yorkshire Terrier Breed in and of itself is a breed within the toy group and the AKC standard for the breed is not to exceed seven pounds. With that said, there is no such thing as a Teacup Yorkie, Micro Yorkie or a Miniature Yorkie. Adoptive families please BEWARE!!! Many unscrupulous Breeders use these terms for puppies that are guesstimated, again we reiterate GUESSTIMATED, based on the Toy Breed Puppy Growth Chart not to exceed the adult weight of three pounds. Often the so called Teacup puppy will either be extremely fragile with various illnesses such as hypolycemia, seizures, liver shunts and the likes or result in an adult weight that far exceeds AKC standards. Reputable Breeders such as us here at the Peanut Gallery will, on occasion, have one puppy out of a litter that is much smaller than its litter mates. But, we do not intentionally breed for them. We are also not into marketing these babies as special! Our goal is to produce healthy, happy, well socialized puppies. Our puppies are pre-spoiled, vaccinated, wormed and started on housebreaking prior to them going to their new forever homes.
All adoptive families are pre-screened to ensure that our babies go the best possible homes. We like to keep in touch with the new family. We ask that they keep us updated and send pictures of the puppy as often as possible. If for ANY reason the new family can not keep the puppy, we will take the puppy back and the puppy will either stay with us or we will find a new adoptive family. After all, these are our babies for their entire life!
We do NOT knowingly sell to pet shops, puppy brokers, or puppy mills!
